Back on Time and Fighting Crime! (And $1000 for YOU!)
Heyyy, everybuddy!
As most of you know, to one extent or another, we've been having problems with our printer; the last GOOD book we got out of him was PULP DREAMS #3, which we were going to send out to stores when IF-X #3 came in from said printer... and it NEVER DID. Well, that's not quite true--it came in with *hideous* print alignment problems. Due to stalling on sending a corrected book (and *other* books for which he was responsible), we finally came to our senses and changed printers.
For the record, working with Dimestore proved to be the easiest, least expensive, and best-quality job we've had so far. They didn't quite bullseye the date, but I'd give this a rating of 95/100--a solid A!
So basically, here are the new books we have out now:
PULP DREAMS #3: The first flip book containing both TERRA 2920 and PORTAL PRIME! Soul slugs! Energy creatures! More sticks than you can shake excitement at!
IF-X #3: You thought it was AUGUST? April Fool! Well, here it finally is, the April Fool's issue, complete with work by George McVey, Yul Tolbert, Ozzy Longoria, and Michael "Freon" Andaluz!
IF-X #4: Have a hankering for guys (and gals) with capes? This issue has them and more! Superheroism explored by Sara Holt, Adam Wilson, George and ME! Special features include a fantastic cover by Bill Bryan and a story in which YOU decide what we do with the characters in a future issue!
IF-X #5: From Superheroes, we move onto the heroes of myth and fantasy! Ozzy Longoria's cover showcases his story, "Myth of the Chupacabra," George McVey brings us "The Ballad of Roman and Julia" AND "Insect Hunter," and Zakarya Anwar gives us "Once Upon a Hero."
As always, we are interested in YOUR stories, as well; for more information on the submission process, please e-mail submissions@idea-men.us so that I know the difference between this
and other e-mails that I get.
And now, to the whole $1000 thing. As you know, the hardest part about being a tiny company is finding a way to be seen. We want you to help us, and to that end, we are BUYING YOUR PICTURES. For more information, please go to this page and then start snapping away! Pass this on to your friends. This offer is REAL.
Cheers,
Michael Marcus
