Gamer's Dozen!

More About The Games

  1. Muggers:  Muggers is a strategy game for two to five players on a six-by-six board.  Seemingly very simple at first many have been surprised by elements of games like Go hidden within.

  2. Movers:  A different sort of strategy game (again, for two to five players), not only can you move the pieces, you can move the board.

  3. Capture-Chase:  This relative of games like Ludo and Parcheesi allows the players to determine the shape of the board... which will be very important as they chase each other to the finish and try to capture each others' pieces!

  4. Stepping Stones:  Similar to my other game, Kechi, players try to capture each other as they leap along paths they slowly destroy...

  5. Oranges and Lemons:  A straightforward variant on many classic children's games--a race to the finish!

  6. Horse Race:  Speaking of races, this is a simple dice and betting game.

  7. Pot Shots:  This is sort of like what dodge-ball would be like... if someone was throwing bombs!

  8. Thinker's Dice:  A clever game of chance and addition--can you force your opponents out?

  9. Orange Rush:  White stones rest on orange squares... try to get them first.  Of course, if you can't get them first, you can always try and steal them from your opponents...

  10. Homeland Security:  Each player runs a country, but you control the "terrorist chatter" on your turn.  Keep them on Code Red as long as you can!

  11. Movers' Maze:  More than just a variant on Movers, players now maneuver their pieces on a bizarre board that can change with every turn... and whose tiles can result in a win as easily as the counters!

  12. Apex:  Imagine "Kings of the Mountain" as a strategy game--push your opponents out of the way and score points by occupying the best locations!

As if these aren't enough, take a look at this list of variants and clarifications!

Because the tiles can be rearranged in most of the games, every game will be different!  Similarly, by varying the rules a little, you can make your own favorite versions of these games, or even new ones!  If you develop a new game submit it here!  If your game gets used in the next release, you will receive a check for twenty dollars... or two free sets to give to friends--your choice!
